Ms. Tapper


Ms. Tapper, a Colorado native, attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication.

Before joining Cherry Creek Academy as a 2nd grade teacher, she served as Teacher Resident through Public Education & Business Coalition, also known as the Boettcher Teacher Residency Program in Denver, CO. She obtained a teaching licensure in Elementary Education with PEBC.This is her third year teaching. 

Ms. Tappers favorite activities involve being in the outdoors. She loves to ski, hike, swim, camp, and travel. In addition, one of her favorite things to do is hang at home with her bunny Mr. Henry Hopper and her dog Walter.

Teaching Philosophy
Ms. Tapper believes that students learn best in environments where they feel safe, respected, welcome, and valued. She strives to create a strong sense of community in her classroom and demonstrates her investment in individual students by learning about them, embracing their preferred learning styles, and celebrating their growth and hard work. Ms. Tapper utilizes many different techniques to keep her students excited and engaged to ensure students are successful throughout the school year. She also believes that
communication with parents is a vital component of student success and makes a strong effort to build relationships with parents just as she does with her students.
